Watchers

Just found out some body downloaded all the art and photos I had here at DA and posted them on a pirate site called ImageFap (geez, I hate that name).  Normally, I don't care if a person wants to download and enjoy the work or even post a sample or two at their Yahoo or FetLife group.  But geez, let's not get carried away!  Good thing I didn't put the whole damn store here!

Sorry I haven't been very active here (again).  The business of life has been weighing heavily upon me these many months.  It's a rough world out there and it seems to be going ever backwards instead of forward.    Regardless, I'm not hanging it up yet!  Still a few more damsels in the Toon man's arsenal!  Heh heh....

Back here for the first time since November. Good, actually, to see that you're still touching down here, even though you got ripped off in the fall.

Every time I see your art and your photos in the same location, I keep being struck by how dissimilar they seem to me in style. I'm not sure I can put my finger on actually what's so diffierent: maybe it's the poses, or the greater variety in body styles that the real models have, compared to the damsels you depict in the drawings. Maybe it's that facial expression just comes across different in RL than in art. Not quite sure, but it leads me to think hard about it. After all, there aren't that many bondage artists who also do professional bondage photography and manage to do both exceptionally well. I mean, there was Saudelli, John Willie, a handful of others. So here's a question: do you actually handle the camera? do you do the bondage riggings? or are some of these tasks given to others in the shoots?

Or maybe it's that your artistic vision for drawing is altogether not the same as the vision you call upon doing photography....

I'm just trying to figure out why the aesthetic seems so different to me, and hoping you can shed some insight.

In any case, it's a delicious, enjoyable gallery, and it helps me keep tabs on what you're up to. I'm looking forward to returning again soon.

Hello Danny!
First off, thanks for the compliments. But man, being compared to Saudelli and my main man, John Willie? Geez, that's heavy praise! Believe me, those guys are miles ahead of me. I still have a helluva lot to learn, especially as a photographer/rigger.

First off, yes, I'm the photographer as well as the guy who does the tying. Much of what I learned I picked up watching lots of bondage videos as well as getting tips from Jay Wiseman's book about basic bondage techniques. One of the great joys is wrapping rope around a lovely woman's body, applying the gag, then picking up that camera and goin' to town snapping pics!

Second, the settings and poses for my drawings differ from the photos because I don't have a big budget for sets or location shoots (such as a warehouse). The drawings are from my imagination. My basic fantasies. I really don't think the photos and art are all that different. I've had a lot of folks tell me that the photos look like my drawings come to life, lol!

Anyway, thanks again for asking about my work. I hope I was able to clarify things a bit.

Happy New Year, man! I was going to call today but I can't find your number!

And hey, I can receive your emails but can't send you any, your ISP is blocking me!
